Sr. Manufacturing Engineer- Weld/Robotics

JOB TITLE: Senior Manufacturing Engineer ? Weld/Robotics

Summary of Responsibilities: Conducts manufacturing/weld engineering assignments in conformity with sound engineering principles, policies, and controls to develop new methods, tooling, and process designs to resolve quality and cost issues in manufacturing.
Summary of Duties:
Directs and coordinates prototype and production activities within the Jackson manufacturing facility to assure all functional areas are involved to the extent specified in the product development procedure. These duties specifically focusing on design interaction for improvements in manufacturability, cost, and quality.
Research and development of new/existing processes and manufacturing systems to improve quality, productivity, and reduce operating costs. R&D should include the discovery of new patterns of welding phenomena through partnerships, testing, and/or idea exchanges with technical contacts.
Responsible for all aspects of project management on assigned projects including but not limited to the following: schedule development, schedule adherence, status monitoring, and budget compliance.
Provide expertise and support in all aspects of weld operations including: technical assistance, training, new equipment justification, plant floor layout, lean opportunities, in-sourcing/out-sourcing, and management/supervision of direct reports (as designated by the ME org chart).
Advance welding related technology on the shop floor. Scope includes but is not limited to robotics/shop floor automation, advanced weld process development, and weld process tracking.
Partner with manufacturing to create, execute and maintain a weld training program which develops and maintains shop floor workers and technical staff at appropriate knowledge and proficiency levels to support production and enable technology advancements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certifications:
Should possess a Bachelor's Degree from a 4 year accredited school in Weld Engineering. Consideration given for equivalent experience in welding, robot automation, material science, destructive and non-destructive weld test methods.
Technical related software proficiency (preference to MS Office -- Excel, Outlook, Word, MS project; CAD -- Inventor, Creo; Weld Robot programming ? (Fanuc, motorman, Panasonic), Weldpro, Weld Office, Miller CenterPoint, Allen Bradley Plc5, Rs Logix 500etc).
Must possess knowledge & experience with AWS & ASME code and certification as Certified Weld Inspector (CWI). Preference given to additional Certified Weld Educator (CWE) certification.
Experience:
A minimum of four years of engineering experience in a Weld Engineering Role to acquire sufficient background and technique to perform job responsibilities.
Project management for new automated weld equipment installations and new product development/introduction.
Proficiency at GMAW welding in all positions.
Knowledge of agricultural parts, machinery and equipment helpful.
Knowledge of and proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and experience in engineering print review.
Required Skills:
Team player who can communicate effectively and train others in a team environment.
Evaluation and writing of welding procedures and specifications (including PQRs and welder certifications).
Evaluating weld defects and developing corrective actions (including analysis of weld joints using inspection and testing activities to validate conformance of weld procedures to industry code and internal quality requirements).
Installation and programming with GMAW weld robots (preference to use with vision, laser, or IR).

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
