Materials Analyst Job


The materials analyst is the technical leader for materials flow throughout the facility. This individual will be responsible for the utilization for continuous improvement tools to design, implement and maintain supply chain solutions that positively affect delivery, cost, safety, quality and morale.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set up parts to strategy for future demand, incorporating a plan for every part.

  • Reconcile master data inaccuracies to mitigate supply chain disruptions.

  • Update master data to distribute materials data correctly to required recipients.

  • Perform and report on daily, weekly and monthly KPIs assigned, as well as make suggestions for additional KPIs that would be beneficial to the supply chain organization.

  • Occasionally develop and maintain materials value stream maps as it relates to information flows.

  • Supply chain and/or inventory analysis as required.


Job Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated strengths in planning, communication, organization, analytical problem solving, and the ability to influence others.

  • Ability to train and lead others.

  • Ability to lead teams or work without direct supervision.

  • A strong desire to embrace continuous improvements and change within the organization and team.

  • Prefer €“ 2 years working with materials logistics, distribution or processes.

  • Prefer €“ experience working with materials ERP systems such as MAPICS or SAP

  • Prefer €“ experience working with Microsoft Office programs such as Excel and Access. (with ability to query data, utilize pivot tables, and write excel formulas)

  • Prefer €“ experience or familiarity with 3PL or VMI programs.



  • Prefer: 2 or 4 year degree in a supply chain, business, manufacturing, or engineering related discipline.

  • Prefer: 4+ years in a related manufacturing environment.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
